Die Ausstellung versammelt drei künstlerische Positionen, die Zeichnung als räumliches und prozesshaftes Medium untersuchen. In ortsbezogenen Installationen, seriellen Systemen und offenen Strukturen entwickelt sich die Linie über das Papier hinaus und wird zu einer Methode des Denkens, Beobachtens und räumlichen Ordnens.

Im Sommer 2026 arbeitet Ricarda Hoop als Stipendiatin im ausstellwerk Huglfing. Ausgehend vom ehemaligen Stellwerk und dem Gleisfeld entstehen neue Zeichnungen und eine ortsbezogene Installation.

A Transitional Element

In A Transitional Element, Ricarda Hoop develops a spatial installation that departs from a detail in 17th-century Dutch painting: the carpet placed on the table. In paintings by Gabriel Metsu, these textiles function as transitional zones — neither purely decorative nor purely functional, but as elements that structure space, proximity, and attention.

Hoop translates this pictorial logic into the exhibition space at OFF HOOK. Fragmented, floor-based forms and drawings engage with the architecture of the room, unfolding as a spatial constellation rather than a sequence of separate works. The installation approaches the space as a drawing in itself — reduced in means, yet complex in its internal relations.

The opening is on Friday February 27th at 5 p.m. and runs until April 10th
